Role Summary

This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden

Our mission is to deliver, maintain and develop product structures for the complete Scania product portfolio. The unit provides vital product data within weight, ICD and material data sheets, and acts as support for R&D throughout the entire product development process.

Further responsibilities include development of common methods, tools, ways of working and planning for all technical product areas. We offer you a position in a part of the organization that is an active player in driving demand for system development from a business perspective, as well as supporting the shift towards increased digitalisation.

The ICD team is responsible for creating models and measurements to publish Individual Chassis Drawings (ICD, 2D) to body builders around the world. The ICD drawings give end customers and body builders important information early in the process to plan and order parts for the body building of the vehicle.

Today, the ICD team consists of four persons in Södertälje and a team of five colleagues in India, working closely together in daily deliveries and continuous improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyse and follow up on incoming product changes and how they impact ICD drawings
• Create new or updated ICD drawings based on product changes and customer needs
• Create and maintain 3D models
• Handle inquiries from the market side and contribute to the daily helpdesk
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Market and IT
• Cooperate closely with colleagues in India to coordinate deliveries and develop ways of working
• Contribute to improving methods, tools and workflows within the bodybuilding area

The work ranges from handling several smaller deliveries in parallel to more complex tasks that require deeper analysis and learning.

Who You Are

We are looking for an energetic and curious colleague who enjoys working with technical details and wants to understand the complete vehicle and its interfaces. You like being part of a small team and feel comfortable working cross-functionally in a global environment.

You have a proactive and service-minded approach, good communication skills and a willingness to learn. We value mindset and potential highly as many parts of the role can be learned on the job.

You might have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Experience or interest in trucks, chassis systems or complete vehicle products
• Experience working with product structures (PLM/PDM), CAD or similar tools (meriting)
• Experience from cross-functional collaboration within R&D, Market or IT
• An interest in improving ways of working and contributing with new perspectives

Experience from ICD, OAS, Catia or electrified vehicles is considered a merit, but not a requirement. Internal candidates with relevant technical understanding and the right mindset are strongly encouraged to apply.

You are comfortable working in English, both written and spoken, in a global context.
