Life in Mora
Mora is a charming town located in the heart of Sweden, surrounded by forests, lakes and mountains. The region offers exceptional opportunities for skiing, hiking, cycling and outdoor activities all year round.
Mora Hospital is one of the two emergency hospitals in the region. The hospital serves approximately 80,000 residents but due to nearby ski resorts such as Sälen and Idre and several major sports events, the region welcomes large numbers of visitors every year.
The hospital combines the friendly atmosphere of a smaller hospital with the capabilities of a trauma center.
About the Department
The department includes:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Central Operating Department
Day Surgery Unit
Sterile Processing Department
Each year we handle around 1,500 patients in intensive care and perform 4,500-5,000 surgical procedures.
Most procedures involve:
General surgery
Oorthopedics
Urology
Our team works closely with other departments and also supports specialized procedures across the hospital.
Your Role
As an OR Nurse you will be part of a skilled surgical team together with an assistant nurse and an aesthesia nurse.
Your responsibilities include:
Planning and organizing work related to surgical procedures
Ensuring sterile and hygienic standards are maintained
Preventing infections and ensuring patient safety
Assisting surgeons during operations
Working Hours
Currently we offer:
Day shifts Monday-Friday
40-hour work week
In the future, a rotating schedule may include:
Day, evening and night shifts
Weekend shifts
Qualifications required
Registered Nurse in the EU/EEA
Specialist qualification in Operating Room Nursing
Previous experience in an operating department
Hold EU/EEA citizenship
English proficiency at CEFR level B2 or higher
Can provide strong references from previous employment
