Avaron AB is a growing consultancy specializing in matching the right expertise with the market's most interesting assignments. You will play a key role in modernizing a large-scale on-premise environment into a highly automated, observable, and reliable platform. The setup supports more than 2000 hardware environments used daily by engineers and developers, which means you will work close to the core infrastructure that enables development, testing, and day-to-day engineering work.

This is a senior assignment for you who enjoy combining infrastructure automation, platform engineering, observability, and system-level troubleshooting. You will help shape a developer-friendly platform with a strong focus on stability, scalability, reproducibility, and reduced manual work.

• Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure setups for a large-scale on-premise environment.
• Create, manage, and improve unified OS images used across extensive hardware setups.
• Use Ansible to standardize configuration management, provisioning, and lifecycle management at scale.
• Implement and maintain centralized logging and monitoring with Grafana, Loki, and Alloy.
• Ensure logs, metrics, and system signals are collected in a consistent, searchable, and actionable way.
• Improve observability to support faster troubleshooting and higher platform reliability.
• Apply data-center-like principles to on-premise infrastructure with focus on stability, scalability, and reproducibility.
• Identify bottlenecks, failure points, and automation opportunities across infrastructure and platform services.
• Support high availability and predictable performance across diverse hardware environments.
• Work closely with software engineers, test engineers, and DevOps colleagues to understand platform needs and improve the overall developer experience.
• Contribute with senior technical guidance, share best practices, and support continuous improvement in tooling, processes, and platform architecture.

• Strong experience working as a DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineer in complex environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Ansible for large-scale automation.
• Experience building and maintaining unified OS images and automated provisioning pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and on-premise infrastructure.
• Experience with observability stacks, especially Grafana and centralized logging solutions such as Loki, Alloy, or similar tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or shell.
• You are comfortable working in complex, hardware-heavy environments.
• You communicate fluently in English.
