We are looking for a talented Platform Engineer to join our highly skilled and collaborative team in Luleå. Our platform team plays a crucial role in ensuring stability, security, and continuous development of the software platform that powers our Epiroc Digital and Safety applications. This is an opportunity to work in a self-driven, respected, and influential team with close collaboration across support and R&D teams.  Your mission  As an Platform Engineer, your role involves maintaining, developing, and evolving our platform, enhancing its stability, security, and innovation.  You will improve and maintain the platform through stability testing and security updates, implement new features and technologies as well as troubleshoot and analyze incidents that require deeper technical expertise. Additionally, a key part of your role will be to create tools and scripts to empower the support team, making it easier for them to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Collaboration will be at the core of your role, as you work closely with internal teams to ensure that the platform meets all performance and security standards. Your profile   We are looking for someone who is proactive, solution-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. While a degree in Computer Science or a related field is beneficial, it is not a requirement. What matters most is your solid expertise in Linux, a deep understanding of database management and general scripting, particularly in a Linux environment. Equally important are your personal qualities, including adaptability, eagerness to learn, and an initiative-driven and curious approach. The ability to work independently, identify issues, and implement solutions is essential along with strong communication skills, as you will be required to articulate technical solutions clearly and collaborate across teams to drive efficiency and innovation.  Experience with cluster technologies, knowledge of cloud environments like Azure or an understanding of cybersecurity principles, are all beneficial but not required.  Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, while proficiency in Swedish is considered beneficial.  Location and other  This position is located in Luleå, Sweden.
