The opportunity
We are looking for a Global Product Group HVDC SCM Manager, who will lead strategic and operational procurement efforts across direct and indirect categories, supporting a high-impact product group in the energy infrastructure space.
This role offers the chance to shape global sourcing strategies, optimize supplier performance, and drive innovation in supply chain management.
You’ll manage a multi-team department and influence executive leadership while solving complex challenges in a dynamic, global environment.
This role will be based in Sweden.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead global procurement for both Direct Operations (e.g., raw materials, manufacturing services) and Indirect Operations (e.g., office supplies, IT, travel, maintenance)
- Define and execute the SCM strategy for the HVDC Product Group, aligning with business goals and operational priorities
- Oversee product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and contract administration to ensure cost efficiency and compliance
- Drive supplier performance management, including risk mitigation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure timely and reliable delivery of goods and services
- Champion digital transformation in SCM by implementing tools and analytics that enhance visibility, forecasting, and decision-making
- Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership to adopt best practices and support strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization
Your background
- Proven experience in global supply chain management, preferably in HVDC or large-scale industrial projects
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multi-team departments and influencing executive stakeholders
- Deep understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and drive strategic decisions
- Excellent communication and change-management skills across diverse, cross-cultural teams
- Familiarity with digital SCM platforms and data-driven tools
- Degree in engineering, business, or supply chain-related field; advanced qualifications are a plus
