About the Role:

Icomera is shaping the future of connected travel, and as an Embedded Software Developer, you’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of high‑performance network routers for public transport vehicles worldwide.

Within our Embedded team, you’ll work closely with both hardware and web development groups, contributing to the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of our Linux‑based router OS and its applications. The solutions you build will help deliver stable, secure, and innovative products used by millions of passengers every day.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop high‑quality, maintainable embedded software.
• Make design decisions and define appropriate tests for your work.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle — from requirements to deployment.
• Follow established development processes and related standards.
• Create and maintain documentation for code, design, and architecture.
• Collaborate with team members and support planning together with the Product Owner.

Requirements:

• B.sc / M.sc degree, in computer science, physics or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Linux-based software development experience in an agile environment (C/C++, Bash).
• Deep knowledge of computer networking.
• Passion for the Linux platform and software development.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken. Swedish is a plus.
