Job Description:

The client is seeking a Senior Production Engineering Specialist with a focus on intralogistics to support and enhance production operations. This role is centered around optimizing logistics processes within the production environment, ensuring efficient material flow, adherence to operational standards, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support daily production activities, drive process improvements, and contribute to both operational and project-based initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on daily support to production, leading logistics-related engineering activities.
• Participate in daily operational meetings and contribute to cross-functional problem-solving discussions.
• Oversee and maintain production articles and ensure process consistency across operations.
• Monitor production line disturbances and ensure thorough root cause analysis is conducted.
• Ensure adherence to defined methods, processes, and operational standards by shop floor teams.
• Define and refine requirements for logistics systems to enhance production efficiency.
• Develop and maintain engineering dashboards to track performance and improvements.
• Procure and implement necessary tools and equipment to support production activities.
• Drive method-related improvements and optimize workflows within the production environment.
• Perform line balancing and optimize material and process flow based on established methodologies.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation to support production processes and best practices.
• Update and manage production layouts using AutoCAD.
• Manage and continuously improve existing operational processes in collaboration with internal teams.
• Take ownership of logistics processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational gaps and lead targeted improvement initiatives to address inefficiencies.
• Document procedures, work instructions, and process flows to standardize operations.
• Ensure capacity planning and resource allocation for assigned logistics areas and flows.
• Take responsibility for assigned project tasks, ensuring timely delivery with expected quality standards.
• Escalate deviations and risks to project stakeholders and management when necessary.
• Act as a technical project lead within the area of expertise, managing medium-sized teams.
• Oversee project timelines, resource planning, and budget considerations within assigned scope.
• Maintain and enhance expertise in logistics processes and intralogistics methods within the production environment.
• Propose and drive development initiatives and improvements in logistics operations.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage strategic activities related to logistics line support.
• Contribute to long-term operational efficiency by aligning logistics strategies with production goals.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in Production Engineering, with a strong focus on logistics and intralogistics.
• Proven track record in supporting production environments and driving process improvements.
• Experience in line balancing, flow optimization, and industrial engineering practices.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in production engineering and intralogistics
• Experience with process optimization, line balancing, and material flow improvements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for layout management
• Knowledge of engineering dashboards and performance tracking tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination
• Ability to develop technical documentation and process standards
