Role Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic leadership and direction to the company, ensuring the successful delivery of its long-term and short-term goals. The CEO is accountable for business growth, operational excellence and ensuring that the firm meets its regulatory and legal obligations, while fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of the firm's long-term and short-term strategic plans in line with its objectives, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite.
• Evaluate the success of the company in reaching its goals; look for opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments.
• Drive business development and innovation, including the oversight of new product launches and service extensions, ensuring they meet market, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster transparent decision-making and maintain strong communication with shareholders, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Evaluate the success of the company in reaching its goals; look for opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments.
• Ensure appropriate and effective communication with major stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Maintain strategic oversight of the firm's financial soundness, including revenue sustainability, cost control, capital adequacy, and liquidity.
• Maintain oversight of business insurance acquisition and renewals, ensuring appropriate coverage for business risks.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to the company’s operations, reputation, and financial standing.
• Ensure appropriate arrangements for business continuity and disaster recovery, including the ongoing effectiveness of operational resilience measures.
• Ensure operational capabilities are robust, efficient, and continuously improved.
