Teamleader Steel!

Are you ready for an exciting career at Sweden's largest shipyard? Do you want to be part of us, a team of about 100 dedicated problem solvers from all over the world in a fast-paced business? Each shipbuilding project is led by a project manager who works closely with our Steel, Piping and Machinery departments to ensure project delivery. As a Team Leader, you report to the Department Manager and serve as a reliable support to ensure your department’s contribution to the project. The pace is fast, and each project lasts an average of 10 days.

We are looking for a Team Leader to our Steel Department for repairs of all steel structures on the ship, such as the hull and all welded steel structures.

As a Team Leader...

You and your colleagues at the steel department plan, organize, lead, and follow up all existing work that falls within the department's responsibility. Thus, it is required that you have experience in the tasks to be performed and preferably from the maritime and/or shipbuilding industry. You work closely and assist the Foreman with whatever is needed to ensure successful project delivery. Technical knowledge is also an important asset in this role. You coordinate and handle the practical aspects of the project and ensure that the team has what it needs to perform its work. Technical knowledge is also an important asset in this role.

To thrive and succeed in this role, your personal qualities are the most important and absolutely crucial! You should be humble and able to ask for help when you need it; in other words, unpretentious. At the same time, you need to be demanding. You are proactive, energetic, and flexible, with a positive “can-do” attitude to drive the business forward and create added value. Last but not least, you are pragmatic and take responsibility for your work.

You need to have good knowledge English, both speaking and writing, drivers license for passenger car and thrive in diverse cultures, enjoy working in an international workplace where we come together despite our differences.
