Your role As Project Portfolio Manager within Business Unit Submarines, your role will involve managing the interdependencies between various projects and activities to align them with the portfolio's strategic goals. You will oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of multiple interconnected projects, define the portfolio's scope and objectives, develop budgets, manage risks, coordinate cross-project activities, communicate with stakeholders, and allocate resources to ensure the portfolio's success. We are looking for two Project Portfolio Managers to join our team: one specializing in Swedish contracts and stakeholders with occasional domestic and variable international travel, and the other focusing on international contracts and stakeholders with approximately 20 days of international business travel per year. Key Responsibilities * Align Portfolio Objectives with Strategic Goals: Define and ensure that project portfolio objectives are in line with the organisation's strategic goals to drive overall business success. * Establish Governance and Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Implement governance structures and lead cross-functional teams to oversee project portfolio activities, decision-making, and ensure objectives are met. * Develop and Monitor Comprehensive Plans: Create and maintain detailed project portfolio plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, while continuously monitoring progress, performance, and financial metrics. * Ensure Compliance and Manage Stakeholder Engagement: Guarantee adherence to Saab's quality standards and regulatory requirements and effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, address concerns, and keep them informed. * Facilitate Communication and Reporting: Organise meetings and workshops to engage stakeholders, and prepare regular reports on project portfolio progress, performance, and outcomes to support informed decision-making. * Contract responsible: managing the execution and compliance of contracts, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of contractual obligations while addressing any issues and mitigating risks to safeguard the organisation's interests. You will report to the Head of Project Management, Business Unit Submarines. Your profile We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Portfolio Manager with a strong background in project management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. To be successful in this role we believe you have: * Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field * IPMA Level certification (or equivalent) is an asset * Proven experience in project management * Strategic awareness, analytical ability and governance expertise * Strong customer interaction skills and business acumen * Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to navigate within a complex organization * Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written (additional languages are an asset) * Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in complex situations * Proficiency in project management tools and software * Knowledge of defense and security industry standards and regulations is an asset This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
