Operative Housekeeping Supervisor
Leadership • Training • Quality Control • Hands-On
“Be the backbone of the housekeeping team at one of Stockholm’s most exciting new hotel openings.”
One of Europe’s fastest-growing hotel groups is making its Scandinavian debut, and we’re building the team that will set the standard from day one. We are looking for an Operative Housekeeping Supervisor who leads from the front, takes ownership of quality, and genuinely invests in their team.
This is not a desk role. You will be visible on the floor, supporting your team and ensuring everything meets the high standards our guests expect.
~80–85% leadership, coordination & quality control • ~15–20% hands-on cleaning
Who You Are

• A natural leader who leads by example
• Experienced in housekeeping or professional cleaning, ideally in hotels
• Detail-oriented and quality-driven
• A confident communicator across different cultures and experience levels
• Organised and proactive when plans change
• Passionate about training and developing people
Your Responsibilities
Your role focuses on four key areas: team leadership, training, quality control, and operational support.
Team Leadership & Daily Operations

• Act as the main contact for your team during shifts
• Monitor performance and support the team throughout the day
• Ensure smooth shift starts with all staff prepared and briefed
• Coordinate cover when staff are absent
• Support the Housekeeping Manager with reporting and coordination
Training & Coaching
• Train new room attendants in rooms, public areas, and procedures
• Guide new team members during their first weeks
• Provide structured feedback and coaching
• Run group training on cleaning techniques and standards
• Support ongoing team development and quarterly training sessions
Quality Control
• Inspect rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Identify quality gaps and implement improvements
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages
• Handle housekeeping-related guest concerns quickly and professionally
Hands-On Cleaning (15–20%)
• Clean guest rooms and public areas when needed
• Support the team during peak periods or absences
• Demonstrate best practices through your own work
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in housekeeping or professional cleaning, ideally with leadership responsibilities
• Hotel experience is a strong advantage
• Communication: Able to give clear instructions and feedback in English or Swedish
• Digital skills: Comfortable using apps or scheduling systems
• Flexibility: Available for varying shifts including mornings and weekends
• Personal qualities: Calm, fair, solution-oriented and team-focused
What We Offer
You won’t just manage a team — you’ll help shape the culture of a brand-new hotel.
• Competitive salary
• Monthly performance bonus
• Structured onboarding and leadership training
• Quarterly training sessions and development opportunities
• Regular team meetings with management
• Real opportunities for career growth
• A founding role in building the hotel’s standards and team culture
