We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an international medical assistance provider that supports travellers worldwide when illness, injury, or accidents occur while abroad.

This role allows you to use your clinical expertise in a global setting, helping travellers navigate medical situations while coordinating care across borders.

Based in Fuengirola on Spain’s Costa del Sol, you will work in an international environment where healthcare knowledge, communication skills, and quick decision-making are essential.

About the Role

As a Medical Assistance Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting travellers who require medical guidance or assistance while abroad.

You will assess cases, coordinate care, and communicate with both patients and healthcare providers to ensure travellers receive the support they need.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing medical assistance cases via phone and email
• 
  
• Performing medical screening and triage
• 
  
• Communicating with patients, family members, clinics, and hospitals
• 
  
• Requesting and reviewing medical documentation and reports
• 
  
• Assessing treatment plans and medical needs
• 
  
• Supporting assistance coordinators with medical expertise
• 
  
• Ensuring cases are handled efficiently and professionally

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a qualified nurse with strong communication skills and a structured approach to problem solving.

Requirements:

• EU-recognized Registered Nurse qualification
• 
  
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
• 
  
• Fluent Danish (written and spoken)
• 
  
• Strong English communication skills
• 
  
• Spanish is considered an advantage
• 
  
• Previous experience in travel medicine, insurance medicine, or international healthcare is beneficial
• 
  
• Clean criminal record
