Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Digital Buyer to support procurement activities within the digital and IT domain. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable value, cost efficiency, and supplier performance improvements.

The selected consultant will work closely with internal stakeholders, management teams, and suppliers to ensure procurement decisions align with business objectives and strategic priorities. The role requires strong negotiation capabilities, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage procurement initiatives within a global environment.

The Digital Buyer will also collaborate with procurement teams across the client’s organization to optimize purchasing strategies, strengthen supplier relationships, and enhance the overall procurement portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global category strategies and translate them into effective sourcing plans that support business objectives.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract discussions to secure favorable commercial terms, cost efficiencies, and performance improvements aligned with defined KPIs.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and leadership teams to ensure procurement decisions align with organizational priorities and operational goals.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while leveraging market opportunities to enhance procurement outcomes and maintain competitiveness.
• Manage complex negotiations and internal discussions while maintaining focus on business value and strategic procurement outcomes.
• Collaborate with procurement teams across the client’s organization to leverage group-wide strategies and maximize corporate synergies.
• Conduct spend analysis and opportunity assessments to identify cost-saving initiatives and procurement optimization opportunities.
• Execute and manage RFQ processes, ensuring completion of both ongoing and new sourcing activities.
• Maintain and optimize the existing IT procurement portfolio, ensuring all software and hardware contracts remain valid and commercially competitive.
• Coordinate with procurement and business stakeholders to define and implement sourcing strategies for the current digital procurement portfolio.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, including at least 3 years within IT procurement.
• Proven expertise in category management, supplier negotiation, and procurement strategy development.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience performing spend analysis and procurement opportunity assessments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contract negotiations and supplier performance management.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
