Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical System Architect to join the Electronics and Software engineering group in Gothenburg.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced electrical architectures supporting hybrid and fully electric powertrain technologies.
The selected professional will play a key role in designing and guiding the electrical system architecture for next-generation mobility solutions.
The position involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams including software component owners, hardware developers, and specialists in system safety, cybersecurity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The successful candidate will help ensure that electrical and electronic systems are designed to meet performance, safety, and scalability requirements, while supporting the development of innovative and sustainable transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and definition of electrical and electronic system architectures for products covering hybrid engines and fully electric drivetrain technologies.
- Translate customer and product requirements into clear technical specifications suitable for the client’s product portfolio.
- Coordinate with ECU component owners and hardware specialists to ensure that system-level requirements are accurately reflected in component designs.
- Support the integration of electrical subsystems and ensure effective communication and interaction between ECUs and other vehicle components.
- Ensure that system designs comply with relevant automotive safety standards and cybersecurity regulations, including ISO 26262.
- Address engineering challenges related to vehicle communication networks, EMC considerations, and electrical topology design.
- Contribute to the transition of electrical systems from concept development through industrialization and production readiness.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for electrical architecture, supporting communication with suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Ensure that system architecture supports future scalability, performance efficiency, and functional safety requirements.
Education Requirements
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering
- Automotive Engineering
- Or a closely related engineering discipline

Additional Information
- The Successful candidate working on assignments with the client are expected to operate within a remote desktop environment and provide their own work equipment, such as a computer and mobile phone when necessary.
