As a Category Manager you will be a part of an experienced and global Strategic Sourcing team based in Örebro, Sweden.
As one of the Category Manager you will work with all parts of the purchasing process from strategy and planning to follow-up in your area.
Mission
Your main responsibility is to maintain and develop our supplier relationship to ensure stable and reliable delivery performance, cost efficiency, high flexibility, sustainability and quality.
Through monitoring and consolidation of our supplier base, you ensure that we have the best possible suppliers.
In this position you are also securing that the supplier base fulfills corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Epiroc Group.
This is an outgoing and people-oriented role.
The team work cross-functionally within the organization as well as with our Suppliers and other Epiroc divisions (globally).
You enjoy to work and collaborate with other people in different positions/divisions and locations.
Your profile
To be the best fit for this position we are looking for you who has experience within strategic sourcing, sales or similar area. As a Category Manager you have a structured way of working, and a technical understanding.
Focus on, and experience from, finding solutions and to solve problems is also key to be successful in this role.
You should have negotiation skills and a great business acume, sound knowledge and understanding of purchasing tools and processes as well as ERP systems.
As we are a global organization with many global contacts, fluent in English verbally and writing is required.
To enjoy working in this position you should be a pro-active and goal oriented individual.
This position requires strong communication and negotiation skills to negotiate with suppliers. We see that you are an outgoing person with great ability to build lasting business relations.
To be a successful Category manager you must have a high level of personal drive, strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
