Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven Software Engineer who is passionate about developing the next generation Distributed Control System – a solution that will transform how industries work with efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop cutting-edge software for ABB’s next generation Distributed Control System
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to maximize customer value
• Collaborate closely with your team, taking ownership of your work while contributing to shared success
• Live ABB’s values of safety and integrity—ensuring responsibility, trust, and a supportive workplace culture

Your Background

• A university degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and C++
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems and OPC UA is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM, is a plus
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• Fluent in both English and Swedish, spoken and written

You will be part of Process Control Platform (PCP) which is a unit within ABB Business Area Process Automation. PCP develops automation products - hardware and software - for monitoring, process control and optimization. We have automation products for all kinds of industries all over the world. Our team is only working with software development.
