Are you a curious, self-driven and structured engineer that would like to contribute to the design and development of next generation Tophammer rock drilling tools? Then you might be the person we are looking for. For this role, we are looking for someone who may be new in their position or someone who has several years of experience in design engineering.
Join our team
At Epiroc, it all starts with people. People like you. You will become part of the Tophammer Solutions R&D team, a group of 13 dedicated Design Engineers, Technicians and Calculation Engineers. Together, we develop and introduce new Tophammer and Handheld products to the market, working closely with marketing, other R&D teams, production, customer centers and our customers. In this role, you will work in an international environment with many points of contact outside Sweden. Our projects range from large-scale, long-term developments to smaller incremental improvements, giving you a dynamic and varied work environment where collaboration and innovation are at the core.
Your mission
As a Design Engineer in the THS R&D team you are an important part of the development and design of our Tophammer rock drilling tools. The work includes all parts of the development process, ranging from CAD-modeling, creation of drawings, ordering of prototypes and follow up of results from lab tests and/or field tests. Cross functional collaboration with other departments and divisions happens daily. You will work on all different types of R&D projects, with different technology readiness levels.
Location and other
This position is located in Fagersta, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.

Your profile
To be successful in this role you should be a curious team player with the capability to take initiative and operate work tasks independently. You are expected to work structured with a scientific approach. Good collaboration with other departments and divisions is also crucial. Your background is preferably a Mechanical Engineer or other equivalent engineering education. Previous work life experience within mechanical design and manufacturing is a plus. Big focus will be put on your personal traits during the recruitment process. For this role, you need to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
