Götaverken Miljö AB (GMAB) is a Swedish engineering company specializing in flue gas cleaning and energy recovery solutions. Founded in 1988 as a spin-off from Götaverken Energy Systems, GMAB combines a long-standing industrial heritage with advanced environmental technology.

About the Role
As part of GMAB’s strategic initiative to strengthen its local legal presence, you will act as a legal business partner to both the Swedish entity and the group. The role is primarily supportive and advisory, providing guidance throughout the lifecycle of complex, project-based deliveries.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
• Supporting tender and bid processes from a legal perspective
• Advising during project execution, including contractual interpretation
• Managing claims and disputes with a focus on commercial resolution
• Identifying and mitigating legal and contractual risks
• Handling cross-border agreements and multi-jurisdictional matters

You will report administratively to the Managing Director of GMAB and functionally to the Head of Legal in Italy, with regular interaction with international stakeholders and occasional travel in Europe.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a commercially minded, collaborative, and solution-oriented lawyer who thrives in a supportive legal role rather than a front-facing litigation position. You enjoy working internationally, collaborating across borders, and contributing to a trust-based leadership culture.

You are structured and analytical, yet adaptable in dynamic project environments, able to communicate clearly with non-legal stakeholders about contractual implications and risks.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Master of Laws (LL.M. or equivalent)
• 2–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Experience from a reputable law firm or in-house legal department with commercial exposure
• Solid experience in commercial contract law
• Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)

Meritorious:

• Experience in international project-based business
• Exposure to cross-border contracts and multi-jurisdictional matters
• Additional language skills (e.g., German or French)
