Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Materials & Chemical Laboratory Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Preparation and analysis of liquids and various materials such as powders, plastics, and metals.
• Performing chemical analyses (e.g., acids, oils, fuels, cutting fluids) using relevant analytical instruments.
• Documenting results and writing technical reports.
• Providing technical support to internal and external customers.
• Collaborating with process operators in areas such as surface treatment, test cells, and workshops.
• Participating in the development and validation of new test methods and laboratory capabilities.
• Supporting safety initiatives and capability studies.
• Creating and reviewing routines within quality and management systems.
• Driving and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ordering and evaluating external laboratory tests when required.

What You Bring

• Engineering degree in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or equivalent competence.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Strong understanding of chemical analysis methods and related instruments.
• Analytical, structured, and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Comfortable working with IT tools such as MS Office and preferably laboratory-related systems.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and proactive approach.
