Assignment Overview
We are seeking a Materials & Chemical Laboratory Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Preparation and analysis of liquids and various materials such as powders, plastics, and metals.
- Performing chemical analyses (e.g., acids, oils, fuels, cutting fluids) using relevant analytical instruments.
- Documenting results and writing technical reports.
- Providing technical support to internal and external customers.
- Collaborating with process operators in areas such as surface treatment, test cells, and workshops.
- Participating in the development and validation of new test methods and laboratory capabilities.
- Supporting safety initiatives and capability studies.
- Creating and reviewing routines within quality and management systems.
- Driving and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ordering and evaluating external laboratory tests when required.
What You Bring
- Engineering degree in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or equivalent competence.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical analysis methods and related instruments.
- Analytical, structured, and quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Comfortable working with IT tools such as MS Office and preferably laboratory-related systems.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and proactive approach.
