JOB VACANCY: MATERIALS & MODELLING ENGINEER
Company Overview
Impetus (IMPETUS Afea) is a leading expert company in computational mechanics, best known for developing the Impetus Solver — a high-precision, GPU-accelerated platform for simulating extreme mechanical events.
Our technology is used in applications ranging from impact and fragmentation to structural response and fluid-structure interaction. With offices in Flekkefjord (NO) and Stockholm (SE), we work at the intersection of advanced physics, engineering insight, and real-world defence applications.
We are now expanding our team with a new kind of role.
Role: Materials & Modelling Engineer
This is a hybrid position combining computational modelling, physical material testing, educational model building and visual and written communication.
You will help transform complex physics into intuitive models, teaching material, and documentation that make advanced simulation accessible and useful.
Your work will contribute both to internal knowledge building, external manuals/training material and experimental material characterization.
What You Will Do
You will work in a split role between:
1. Educational & Demonstration Modelling
2. Materials & Testing Work
