About the AssignmentYou will join an international Genome Engineering team focused on advancing genome editing and precision medicine for rare diseases.
In a laboratory-based role, you will help develop and evaluate genome editing strategies by building relevant cell models, developing assays, and translating experimental outcomes into clear insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
Job Description- Establish and maintain disease cell models using immortalized or iPSC cell lines
- Develop and run cellular and biochemical assays to evaluate therapeutic genome editing approaches in disease models
- Optimize genome engineering technologies to support effective gene editing in target cell and tissue types
- Analyze gene editing outcomes and assess efficacy in relevant models
- Document, interpret, and communicate results to stakeholders and partners
- Work independently in your research area and contribute to project teams
- Advise and train less experienced scientists; may take on a supervisory role (non line-management)
Requirements- Strong hands-on experience establishing disease-relevant cell models using immortalized and/or iPSC cell lines
- Hands-on experience developing and running cellular and biochemical assays
- Experience analyzing and communicating experimental results to stakeholders and partners
- Ability to initiate, direct, and perform research experiments with limited supervision
Nice to have- Experience in metabolism research
- Hands-on experience with CRISPR-Cas9 technologies
- Hands-on experience with protein quantification approaches (e.g., Western blot, ELISA) and/or measuring protein activity
- Experience working with lentiviral vectors for engineering cell models
