You will take end-to-end ownership of an Event Streaming service within an enterprise Integration domain. The service is built on Apache Kafka and provides streaming and event capabilities to applications across the organization. The environment is focused on self-service, automation, and operational excellence—enabling secure, reliable, and scalable integrations aligned with enterprise architecture and security expectations.

In this role, you ensure the service continuously meets customer needs, remains robust in its architecture, and evolves with emerging requirements and technology advancements. You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers, technical teams, and architects while supporting product and application teams in adopting best practices and making optimal use of Kafka.

• Own service outcomes by setting long-term direction, service vision, and a tactical roadmap for the Kafka-based event streaming service.
• Manage the complete service lifecycle—from design and onboarding to operations and continual improvement.
• Drive development of new service capabilities and collaborate with architects to ensure a sound platform and tooling architecture.
• Ensure supplier deliveries contribute to operational efficiency, compliance, and user satisfaction.
• Refine operational excellence through automation of lifecycle management and continuous platform improvements.
• Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and dashboards to support stable operations and performance follow-up.
• Guide development teams in Kafka best practices and expand self-service capabilities across the organization.
• Align service strategy and operations with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Ensure governance, standards adherence, and quality expectations are met.
• Take responsibility for financial management and budget tracking for the service.

• At least five years of experience in a leading role driving digital service strategy as a Service Owner, Service Manager, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in integration concepts and technologies, with a focus on event streaming.
• Extensive experience with Kafka platforms and strategies.
• Experience working with suppliers, including dialogue around both critical operations and development.
• Stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Experience working in distributed service teams and with modern development practices.
• Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance measurement.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
