About the AssignmentIn this role, you will lead a software work package within a railway software development context.
You take ownership of planning, staffing responsibility, reporting and follow-up, and you ensure that deliverables are managed end-to-end with a clear focus on quality, cost and delivery commitments.
You’ll collaborate closely with software architects, verification & validation, configuration management and quality functions, coordinating both local and remote contributors.
Job Description- Lead and manage the software work package deliverables, including staffing responsibility
- Produce and maintain the work package file for the overall software development
- Establish and maintain consolidated reporting for the work package
- Define and maintain management plans for software development
- Define the software project management plan including timelines, resources and budgets
- Contribute to software engineering management planning with software architects
- Contribute to verification and validation planning with relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to configuration management planning with the configuration manager
- Contribute to the software quality plan with the quality manager
- Organize software design reviews
- Organize and lead software development activities to meet quality, cost and delivery commitments
- Coordinate software design and development activities, including work performed by remote collaborators and subcontractors
- Participate in the product Change Control Board for the software scope and manage changes to software requirements
- Escalate risks and events that may impact quality, cost or delivery commitments
- Apply and ensure adherence to relevant processes and standards
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure expectations and requirements are met
- Track team and development performance against goals and objectives
- Identify improvement areas and implement changes to increase delivery success
Requirements- Engineering degree
- Experience in railway software development
- Good written English communication skills
Nice to have- Experience in vital or secure software development
