The IT Product Manager – Integrations & Extend plays a critical role in shaping and delivering the integrations and technical capabilities that power our global HR ecosystem, with Workday at the core.
Operating within the HR IT Solutions area, this role is responsible for the end‑to‑end product ownership of Workday integrations and Workday Extend solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, high‑quality, and aligned with Electrolux standards.
You will work closely with Workday Product Owners, HR IT, HR Operations, Change & Adoption, Security, Reporting, and external partners to design and deliver solutions that enhance and simplify the employee experience.
A key part of the role is overseeing day‑to‑day delivery performed by AMS integration developers
- guiding priorities, ensuring adherence to best practices, and driving accountability without formal authority.
Success in this position requires strong product ownership capabilities, deep experience with Workday integrations and Workday Extend, the ability to lead cross‑functional delivery, and a people‑centric approach to global collaboration.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, HR IT Solutions, and will be part of a global team working on the implementation, enhancements, design, configuration, and technical support of HR applications.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Roadmap Management
- Own the product roadmap for Workday integrations and Workday Extend solutions across the HR technology landscape.
- Prioritize demand based on business value, technical dependencies, and architectural standards.
- Define product requirements, ensure readiness for development, and maintain a transparent backlog.
- Evaluate new Workday features, industry trends, and technology opportunities to enhance the product landscape.
- Ensure alignment with broader Workday module roadmaps and Electrolux HR IT strategy.
Workday Integrations & Workday Extend Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the execution of integrations and Extend development carried out by AMS developers, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Provide clear functional and technical guidance, remove impediments, and ensure adherence to design standards.
- Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Workday Integrations/Extend solutions: from requirements, through design, build, testing, deployment to hypercare.
- Facilitate solution design reviews, integration architecture discussions, and quality checkpoints.
- Monitor performance and reliability of existing Workday Integrations and Extend applications; drive continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with Workday Product Owners, HR IT, HR Operations, Security, Reporting, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure cohesive and user‑centered solutions.
- Coordinate delivery activities with Change & Adoption specialists to ensure smooth rollouts and strong user readiness.
- Facilitate workshops for design, solution validation, and problem‑solving across global teams.
- Maintain strong communication routines, providing clarity on priorities, risks, impacts, and timelines.
Quality, Standards & Best Practices
- Ensure all Workday Integrations and Extend solutions comply with security, data privacy, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Drive the adoption of consistent development practices, documentation standards, and integration patterns.
- Promote clean, maintainable, and scalable Workday technical architecture to reduce technical debt.
- Ensure platform changes, Workday releases, and integrations are tested effectively and deployed safely.
- Identify risks, gaps, and process improvement opportunities across the product domain.
Support, Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee issue resolution for integration‑related incidents, supporting root‑cause analysis and long‑term fixes.
- Optimize monitoring and alerting for Workday Integrations and Extend applications.
- Facilitate continuous learning and knowledge sharing among team members and partners.
- Contribute to the evaluation and rollout of new tools, platforms, and integration capabilities beyond Workday when relevant.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of experience with HR integrations
- 5+ years of experience working with Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, WECI, Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs etc.).
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Extend.
- Proven experience in product ownership, service ownership, or technical delivery management.
- Experience guiding external development teams or vendor partners.
- Strong understanding of global HR processes and HR technology ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority in a global, matrixed environment.
- Solid understanding of software delivery methods, including Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and ability to work effectively in a global environment.
Preferred
- Workday Pro certification(s) or module‑specific certifications (Integrations, Extend, HCM Core, etc.).
- Experience working with AMS or similar offshore/nearshore development models.
- Knowledge of data security, API management, testing strategies, and performance monitoring.
- Practical experience with integration platforms, middleware, or modern API frameworks.
- Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow, or other backlog/project management tools.
- Additional languages are a plus.
