Position Overview – PVE-2 Tester
The Calibration Engineer (Junior) will perform legally required vehicle testing in compliance with automotive industry regulations.
PVE2 testing represents the final “Conformity of Production” (CoP) verification required by regulatory authorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing legally mandated vehicle testing using breakout box and scan tool equipment
- Injecting malfunctions into production vehicles to trigger diagnostic systems
- Verifying legal conformity and correct system functionality
- Logging, documenting, and summarizing test results
- Preparing reports for submission to regulatory authorities
- Ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with legal documentation and procedures
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferably in Mechanical Engineering)
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Understanding of automotive diagnostics
- Ability to interpret and follow legal testing documentation
- Administrative and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proactive team player attitude
- High level of thoroughness and reliability
- Structured documentation capability
Language Requirements
- Swedish – Proficient
- English – Proficient (required to understand legal and technical documentation)
