About the AssignmentYou will take end-to-end ownership of the interface for a next-generation workshop ordering platform in the independent aftermarket.
In this role, you lead with user experience: understanding real workshop workflows, shaping user journeys, and turning them into production-ready UI.
The assignment combines frontend architecture, UX decision-making directly in code, and close collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders in a high-autonomy team.
Job Description- Own the frontend architecture and the overall user experience across the platform.
- Translate complex workshop workflows into clear, efficient, and intuitive user interfaces based on direct user needs.
- Design and deliver production-grade UI, making design and implementation decisions in one unified workflow.
- Collaborate closely with product, backend engineering, and business stakeholders, contributing actively to discussions and priorities.
- Apply AI-assisted development workflows to increase iteration speed and delivery output.
- Define, track, and improve UX quality using behavioral metrics (e.g., task completion rate, time-on-task, error rates).
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary decisions at the intersection of product, design, and engineering.
Requirements- Significant experience as a Senior or Lead Frontend Engineer with ownership of UX outcomes (not only implementation).
- Ability to take a user problem from discovery to deployed solution without relying on a separate design handoff process.
- Strong capability to operate across product, design, and engineering disciplines.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows, with a clear understanding of where they add value.
- Experience working in small, high-autonomy teams where direction is shaped collaboratively.
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Nice to have- Tailwind CSS.
- shadcn/ui.
- Experience from the automotive or vehicle industry.
- Background in HMI (Human-Machine Interface) or interface design for operational/workshop environments.
- Ability to explain technical and design decisions to non-technical stakeholders through presentations and written communication.
