Assignment Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Design, develop, and scale backend services using Java
• Own solution architecture and drive end-to-end implementation
• Develop and optimize cloud-native services in Google Cloud Platform
• Manage and scale Postgres and BigTable environments
• Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines using Scio and/or Flight
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Lead technical deep dives, workshops, and stakeholder demos
• Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps best practices
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams

What You Bring

• Extensive experience building and maintaining backend services in Java
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven experience managing Postgres and BigTable at scale
• Solid background in data engineering and pipeline development (Scio and/or Flight)
• Experience working in large-scale, distributed systems environments
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to own technical solutions end-to-end
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and delivery-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and experience leading technical discussions
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
• Experience from E-commerce or FinTech environments is considered valuable
