The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex projects for Hitachi Energy This role involves end-to-end project lifecycle management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while aligning with Hitachi's strategic objectives.
How you’ll make an impact
- Define and refine project scope, objectives, data requirements and success criteria, ensuring alignment with the organization’s data strategy and business priorities.
- Develop and manage datadriven project plans—including timelines, resources, technical dependencies, budgeting and financial tracking—to secure predictable and transparent delivery.
- Lead crossfunctional teams (data engineers, R&D, management, platform owners, vendors and business stakeholders) through clear communication, shared accountability, and strong collaboration.
- Monitor execution using analytics and dashboards to assess progress, risks, data quality, and issue resolution, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, cybersecurity, quality, and project management standards, while conducting postproject reviews and driving continuous improvement of methods and delivery processes.
- Contribute handson when needed (analytics, data validation, dashboarding, problemsolving) and promote data excellence across all data and analytics initiatives.
Your Background
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or similar; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5–7 years of progressive project management experience, preferably within technology, manufacturing, or industrial environments, with a proven record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and practical experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Asana; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced setting.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience working in a global organization or with diverse, crossfunctional teams is an advantage.
