Job brief
We’re currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our
team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the assigned
CAPEX. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Cost issues, drive
continuous improvement, and contribute to the optimization of resources and the pursuit
of savings.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and
Project Control, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Vocational education and training (VET) or University degree and over 7 years of
Professional experience. Have understanding and experience with of document
management methodologies and tools. They are able to support senior consultants in
delivering Projects.
Responsibilities
Manages high-level meetings about cost control with direction and client
Collaborates with project management and finance teams to ensure all operational costs
area accurately accounted for and allocated apropiately
Decides corrective actions to cost variances according to the expenses tracking of the
project
Generates high executive financial reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and issues for
the client and stakeholders about the project cost control status
Identifies and approves financial risks, use of contingency and develops migration
strategies to prevent cost overruns and budgetary impacts
Reviews and manages contractual costs, ensuring compliance with financial terms and
addressing any cost related issued
Analyzes all the cost status of the project given by the cost control team within all the CAs
Reviews and analyzes of UNIFIER information to validate Cost Control of the Project
Requirements and skills
Previous work experience as a Cost Manager or similar role. Required experience over 7
years on large complex projects
Financial analysis, cost saving, budgeting, cost estimation, project management, software
proficiency, strategic planning, team leadership, risk management, problem solving,
critical thinking, analytical decision making, communication and negotiation.
Experience and knowledge with UNIFIER will be valued.
