What you'll do here as Commodity Buyer Your task will be to ensure best possible prerequisites for flexible supply chain, by making sure that Axis Electronics suppliers have capacity and capability to meet current and future demands from Axis. You will play an important role in execution of Axis Purchasing Strategy and relevant Commodity Strategies within electronics area. You will work closely with Commodity Managers, Purchasers and Component Engineers as well as Axis product development organization. Furthermore, you will: * By analyzing and understanding component life cycles, component and supplier risks, cost drivers and technology trends, affect Axis product development to ensure best design from a producibility perspective with quality, availability and cost in mind. * Be responsible for conducting and executing 2nd source and 2nd design strategy on electronics components * Work in close cooperation with component suppliers and Axis contract manufacturers to secure best prerequisites for flexible supply chain. * Be an escalation point for Axis purchasing department and contract manufacturers in case of challenges with material drive or supplier performance. * Work in close cooperation with Commodity Managers, Purchasers and EMS Fulfillment Planners on stock levels, mapping suppliers' current and future capacity, capability and performance to avoid supply disturbances. * Proactively work on minimizing future risks of disruptions that can affect our customers' satisfaction. * Stay on top of market trends concerning availability, cost development, macro-economic factors etc. to give an important input to overall purchasing and commodity strategy and get opportunity to affect and take important business decisions. * Identify and address process improvements within area of responsibility. We'd love to hear that you has/are We believe that you are a relationship builder who enjoys working together in a team. You are analytic, well-structured and result-oriented with a keen interest in the business. We'd love to hear that you have: * A degree in Industrial Economy, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar * Experience and knowledge about electronic components incl market dynamics * Basic technical knowledge about electronics components and their functionality * Minimum 2 years of purchasing/sourcing experience from international companies * Excellent MS Office skills * Excellent skills in English, both orally and in writing It is extra meriting if you also have: * Experience of working in ERP systems * Knowledge about business culture in different parts of the world * Experience from Electronics Supply Chain What Axis has to offer As a fast-growing company, we offer exciting career opportunities.
