We are recruiting for a Vice President Strategy & Acquisitions. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in strengthening our leading position, transforming our culture and accelerating our growth through strategic choices, partnerships, and acquisitions. This role is ideal for an experienced strategic leader who thrives on big‑picture thinking, evidence‑based decision making, and translating strategy into execution and tangible business outcome with speed.

Some words about the role and your new team

As VP Strategy & Acquisitions, you lead the development and implementation of Sandvik Coromant’s global strategic agenda — from long‑term business planning and portfolio development to M&A and new growth pathways. Working closely with the President of Sandvik Coromant and the executive leadership team, you define where we play, how we win, and how we create sustainable value for our customers and the Sandvik Group. You provide executive foresight on market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and emerging technologies. You lead the development and continuous refinement of Sandvik Coromant’s long‑term strategy and secure prioritization and execution via the Transformation Office. Through cross‑functional strategic initiatives with end to end focus, you are supporting profitable and sustainable growth.

Together with relevant stakeholders and resources you oversee the M&A process with focus on origination, integration and value creation planning. You partner with Group and Business Area M&A teams and relevant functions to ensure disciplined and successful growth trough M&A. You secure value creation and performance management of our acquired companies.

This role includes responsibility for our ESG and Sustainability agenda and oversee execution. You build robust internal and external networks to foster strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Travel is part of the role and the location is flexible within Europe. You report directly to the President of Sandvik Coromant.

Your profile

We’re looking for an executive who brings experience in strategic leadership and business direction, along with proven responsibility for a business unit or equivalent scope. Your background includes developing and executing strategy, managing P&L-related decision-making, and leading large, complex organizational initiatives. You combine a hands-on mindset and genuine curiosity about details with the ability to zoom out, abstract complexity, and communicate clearly at the highest strategic level. You also bring a pragmatic, collaborative approach to influencing stakeholders across the organization. Your blend of analytical rigor, strategic acumen, and authentic leadership allows you to develop transformative initiatives while staying connected to the realities that create value. We believe you have general management experience, a background in discrete manufacturing or CNC machining, experience with digitalization of manufacturing environments, and familiarity with aftermarket-driven business models and business model innovation.
