SAP In-House Banking (IHB) and Advanced Payment Management (APM) Technical Co-Lead Employment type: B2B Contract Start Date: As soon as possible End Date: February 2027 Workload allocation: 100% Location: within the EU Way of working: Fully remote Language: fluent English Role Overview The SAP In-House Banking (IHB) and Advanced Payment Management (APM) Technical Co-Lead plays a key leadership role within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This position combines strong technical expertise in SAP payment and bank statement processing with proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Act as the technical co-lead and trusted right-hand to the IT Lead for the Treasury stream within a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program. ✅ Drive cross-functional collaboration between IT, business, and external partners to ensure alignment, momentum, and on-time delivery of program milestones. ✅ Play a central role in Wave 2 of the transformation, focusing on the migration of SAP IHB and SAP APM to SAP S/4HANA, an area of increased complexity and critical dependency. ✅ Operate within a complex Payment Factory environment involving approximately 20 interconnected internal and external systems, managing interfaces, dependencies, and evolving scope. ✅ Coordinate and manage legal, regulatory, internal, and external changes impacting payment processing and treasury operations. ✅ Apply SAP Best Practices, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), BPML, and SAP scope items; support and review GAP analyses, functional designs, and solution blueprints, including outstanding or evolving solution areas. ✅ Ensure high-quality translation of business and treasury requirements into clear, actionable IT and technical deliverables ✅ Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges, and drive resolution to "get things done" in a complex transformation context. Required Skills and Experience: ✔️ Proven experience with SAP In-House Banking (IHB) and Advanced Payment Management (APM), including payments, bank statements, and treasury-related processes ✔️ Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and migration approaches, particularly for payment and treasury solutions ✔️ Ability to lead and steer from a technical and IT perspective while maintaining strong alignment with business stakeholders ✔️ Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including stakeholder management across IT, business, and external vendors ✔️ Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation or rollout programs with multiple workstreams and dependencies ✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity ✔️ Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Nice to Have * Experience working in a Payment Factory or highly integrated payment landscape * Background in SAP Treasury, Cash Management, or Financial Supply Chain ManagementFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance requirements impacting payment processing As part of the recruitment process, the client will conduct background checks on candidates who progress to later stages.
