About the AssignmentYou will join a Bioscience Immunology team within Research and Early Development, supporting drug discovery efforts focused on inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
The role is highly hands-on and combines in vitro studies with ex vivo analyses on mouse cells, working closely with a collaborative group of scientists in a research environment where data quality and scientific rigor are central.
Job Description- Plan, design, execute, and analyze in vitro and ex vivo experiments on mouse cells
- Process and digest organs, stain samples, and design antibody panels for flow cytometry
- Interpret primary data and contribute to study design discussions and scientific decision-making
- Present results, rationale, and recommendations in team and project meetings
- Write reports and summaries and ensure robust documentation and archiving
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and quality control
Requirements- Master’s degree in biology or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with routine FACS on mouse samples, including organ processing/digestion, staining, and antibody panel design
- Experience working with BD FACSDiva instruments and FlowJo
- Ability to independently plan, execute, and analyze protein expression/activation assays such as ELISA, Western blot, and Meso Scale Discovery
- Experience with RNA analysis, including extraction and qRT-PCR
- Understanding of statistical methods, quality control, reporting, and data archiving
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong presentation skills
Nice to have- PhD in immunology
- Deep understanding of autoimmune diseases, especially gut, skin, or joint immunology
- In vivo experience with animal models of inflammation/autoimmunity
- Experience with column-based cell isolation (e.g., MACS, StemCell Technologies) and FACS-mediated cell sorting
- Experience with murine leukocytes in vitro assays
