About the AssignmentWe are looking for an experienced Software Release Leader to take a central role in planning, coordinating, and communicating software releases within an automotive engineering environment.
You will work in a large-scale setup with multiple vehicle programs and cross-functional stakeholders, supporting a continuous integration flow and ensuring releases are delivered with the right content, quality, and documentation.
The assignment is part of a software factory and release function that enables efficient software build, integration, testing, and release flow across engineering teams.
Job Description- Lead and drive software releases and associated documentation across multiple vehicle programs.
- Plan, communicate, and execute the software release plan to secure successful release milestones.
- Represent the unit in cross-functional forums and act as a primary interface towards other release leaders.
- Collaborate closely with software integration leaders to prepare functional content and documentation for release branches.
- Safeguard release content by ensuring correct documentation, configuration integrity, and alignment to agreed product content and risks.
- Monitor and manage fault reports impacting the release branch and support their resolution.
- Guide software teams on release planning, merge requests, test needs, and delivery scheduling.
- Use stakeholder management and influence to remove blockers and secure cross-team alignment.
- Work with integration/release leaders and test stakeholders to create and execute release-focused test plans.
- Track test results and provide up-to-date release status for program reporting.
Requirements- Solid experience working with software integration and release processes.
- Engineering background (university degree or equivalent experience) in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Documented leadership capability, including leading through influence and collaboration.
- Experience in automotive software engineering and software release documentation.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Nice to have- Knowledge of product development processes.
