We've listened to our customers and are turning feedback into action. This is your chance to shape and build Elevate Insights Reports from the ground up: a next-generation, event-driven analytics service designed to surface the real impact of Elevate across the entire product discovery journey.

From Search and Autocomplete to Browse, Recommendations, Product Sets, Boost & Bury logic, and individual product performance, this is your chance to architect a system that translates raw event data into actionable, high-clarity insights.

You’ll be designing the backbone that ingests millions of product discovery events in near real-time, powering visual reports and dashboards that help our users understand what’s working, what’s not, and where to optimize next.

About the Role and day-to-day

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers across Voyado. While we’ve built a working proof-of-concept, this is still an open technical landscape with system design, architecture choices, and discovery work all ahead. You’ll contribute across the stack, from backend development and infrastructure to monitoring and performance tuning.

Some of the things you'd be up to:

• Development, writing code in Java! ☕️
• Shape the technical direction and architecture for Insights Reports from day one.
• Contribute to design discussions and architectural decisions, and make sure our solution is built using best practices.
• Ensure progress in the project and facilitate dialogues across product, design, and tech.
• And when the time comes when you need a break, why don't you spend some time in the gym, do some puzzle solving, or challenge our Åre office in Call of Duty on our PlayStation 5? 🎮

So, who are you?

You have a genuine interest in tech, you're motivated by the problem-solving process, and you navigate cross-functional collaboration with excellence to drive the project forward. We believe important skills to thrive in the team are fearlessness when it comes to navigating the unknown, great communication skills, and a liking for taking on new initiatives!

Besides those personal skills, we believe you have the following:

• A college degree or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a comparable industry career
• Strong backend development skills ☕️
• Are well-versed in system design and understand the challenges of scaling large distributed systems
• Experience in large-scale systems, an understanding of the performance problems that might be encountered with scaling
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, including microservices, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code.
• And most importantly, passion for what you do

A great bonus if you have experience in building reports and scalable storage, with analytics/insights tooling, or similar.
