Assignment Description:

We are looking for an experienced DB2 z/OS Database Administrator to join a team managing business-critical financial systems. The role focuses on both new development and ongoing database maintenance, ensuring high stability, performance, and reliability in a mainframe environment. The DBA will work in an agile context, closely collaborating with development teams and other DBAs, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What you will work on:

• Manage DB2 z/OS databases for multiple business-critical systems
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure stable and optimized database performance
• Handle database-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving incidents
• Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, tuning, and maintenance
• Participate in performance optimization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Contribute to documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing within the team
• Work in an agile setup with close collaboration between local and central DBA functions

What you bring:

• Proven experience as a DBA or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of DB2 z/OS and mainframe database environments
• Experience with business-critical databases and high-availability systems
• Understanding of mainframe / zOS operations
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive approach to work
