Role summary

As an IT Project Lead, you will guide the migration of Swedish Match applications within IT Operations and Research & Development into Philip Morris International’s standard IT environment. Stepping into an already ongoing project, you will take ownership of the next phases of the migration and ensure continuity, structure, and clear progress. In this role, you collaborate closely with colleagues across functions, technical specialists, vendors, and business partners to plan and deliver each migration step. You make complex information understandable, create clarity around goals and timelines, and support teams through preparation, design, testing, and go‑live. Your work contributes to a secure, modern, and unified IT landscape—while ensuring that everyone involved has a positive, well‑supported experience throughout the process.

This is a temporary position with a desired start date as soon as possible. The assignment is expected to run for approximately 8–9 months, with a strong possibility of extension.

Main accountabilities

• Lead and coordinate migration of applications into PMI’s IT environment, ensuring clear communication on scope and expectations.
• Support teams in following the defined methodology.
• Oversee the transition of applications to PMI‑approved hosting environments in a way that minimizes disruption for users.
• Provide transparent communication and progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring documentation is accessible and up to date.
• Identify and follow up on risks, dependencies, and potential challenges within a structured delivery approach.
• Foster effective collaboration between business teams, technical roles, and vendors to support smooth preparation, testing, and go‑live activities.

Who you are

• An experienced IT Project Manager or Project Lead with at least 5 years of experience in application‑focused or technical projects.
• Experience in driving change initiatives within IT during acquisitions, integrations, or consolidations.
• Skilled at communicating clearly and inclusively, making complex topics understandable for diverse audiences.
• Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and guiding groups with different perspectives and expertise.
• Organized, proactive, and experienced in working with risks, progress tracking, and structured documentation
• Ability to manage complex dependencies and technical interfaces.
• Fluent in English, with Swedish skills considered a strong advantage.
