You will empower Engineering Managers to lead their teams effectively, shape our long-term technical strategy, and deliver measurable value across the company. Get an idea of the role We are looking for an Engineering Director to lead our Retail Finance domain who thrives in complex environments and wants to combine strategic leadership with a strong focus on people, delivery, and technical excellence. As our development teams are distributed across our hubs in Malmö, Helsingborg and Stockholm, the role requires flexibility to travel. The role also includes:

• Empower and grow Engineering Managers, enabling high-performing teams that deliver sustainable value through trust and shared responsibility

• Drive meaningful impact on Resurs' future landscape, benefiting from our unique combination of bank-level stability and a modern product-driven development model

🧭 Delivery, Strategy & Business Impact

• Ensure engineering execution aligns with company goals and product strategy, overseeing planning, prioritisation, and delivery across multiple teams

• Drive engineering efforts in Retail Finance, the foundation and the bank’s most critical area, ensuring delivery of measurable business impact

  🧠 Technical Direction, Ways of Working & Scale

• Shape and maintain the long-term technical direction with the CTO, Architects, and Product leadership, ensuring scalable practices and high quality

• Drive continuous improvement of processes, tooling, operational readiness, cost efficiency, and cross-team collaboration

On a personal level

We believe you have:

• A University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

• 8+ years of broad and/or deep professional experience including leadership of multiple engineering teams or departments

• Advanced business proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing

• Excellent communication and influencing skills to align stakeholders and inspire teams

• Strong focus on culture, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement

• Experience designing or leading teams responsible for checkout and payment solutions, used by customers to pay for purchases online and in physical stores, is a significant advantage.
