In this role, you will ensure structural integrity and long-term durability by designing components that withstand environmental loads such as waves, wind, and fatigue, with a strong focus on marine and offshore conditions.
What you will work on:
- Develop structural designs and select appropriate materials to ensure turbine systems withstand environmental loads
- Analyze and design structures considering waves, wind, fatigue, and long-term service life
- Collaborate closely with mechanical design engineers to ensure proper integration of structural components and materials
- Perform structural analysis and simulations using finite element methods
- Design and define testing protocols to evaluate material durability, fatigue performance, and service life
- Support physical testing and validation activities to ensure structural integrity
- Contribute to material selection, focusing on corrosion resistance and fatigue performance in marine environments
- Support continuous improvement of designs through analysis, testing, and cross-functional collaboration
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
- Approximately 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering and/or materials science
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and finite element modeling, using tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus
- Proven experience selecting marine-grade materials and analyzing performance under harsh environmental conditions
- Experience within marine systems, offshore engineering, or renewable energy is considered a strong advantage
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English
- Motivated mindset with a strong drive to learn and contribute to product development
