We are seeking a Hardware Asset Manager to take full ownership of the lifecycle management of IT hardware assets within a large, global organization.
This role is critical to ensuring transparency, control, compliance, sustainability, and cost efficiency across all physical IT assets.
You will work closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, HR, and business stakeholders, acting as a central point of governance and coordination in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, redeployment, returns, and disposal
Maintain accurate and reliable asset inventories across multiple locations and business units
Define, maintain, and continuously improve hardware asset management policies, processes, and standards
Act as system owner or key stakeholder for IT asset management tools and CMDB platforms
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, information security requirements, and sustainability regulations (e.g., e-waste, recycling, reuse)
Drive cost optimization initiatives by reducing unused assets, enabling reuse, and supporting sourcing and procurement decisions
Provide reporting, insights, and data-driven recommendations to IT management, procurement, and finance teams
Coordinate with HR and IT operations to support smooth onboarding and offboarding processes
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient logistics, storage, and asset handling
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Hardware Asset Management within a large organization
Strong understanding of IT hardware lifecycles, procurement workflows, and operational processes
Hands-on experience with asset management systems, ITSM tools, or CMDB platforms
Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively across multiple functions
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Experience working in global, multi-site, or multi-company environments
Background in IT operations, digital workplace, or enterprise IT governance
Experience with sustainability initiatives or circular IT model
Understanding of financial models such as leasing vs. purchasing
Experience in R&D-intensive or technology-driven organizations
