We are Pelago Bioscience – committed to accelerating preclinical drug discovery and development for better human health. Pelago Bioscience is a specialized contract research organisation (CRO) that offers biologically relevant assays to progress our customers’ drug discovery programmes. We were founded in 2013 and are located in Solna, Sweden (near Stockholm). Currently, we have a global team that consists of 60 colleagues.

We are now looking for an experienced and driven Head of Project Advisors and Client Success to lead and develop our global Project Advisor and Client Success functions within the Commercial organization.

Position: Head of Project Advisors and Client Success

About the role:

As Head of Project Advisors and Client Success, you will play a key role in enabling Pelago Bioscience’s commercial success by combining scientific expertise, leadership, and customer focus. You will lead a team of global Project Advisors spread across multiple time zones and ensure high-quality, scientific support throughout the customer journey, while contributing strategically to sales growth, market development, and long-term customer relationships.

The role combines people leadership, operational responsibility, and hands-on involvement in customer interactions when needed as a player-coach of this team.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Lead, manage, and develop the Project Advisor team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance follow-up, and annual salary reviews

· Set department and individual objectives aligned with Pelago’s commercial and strategic goals

· Support the Commercial organization in achieving and exceeding sales targets by providing proactive scientific and technical support in customer interactions

· Act as a customer advocate throughout the customer journey, ensuring a strong scientific and commercial experience

· Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers, partners, and license holders to understand their business needs and support sustainable revenue growth

· Communicate Pelago’s value proposition through scientific discussions, proposals, and presentations

· Provide internal expertise, guidance, and training related to drug discovery and Pelago’s offerings

· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making

· Support conference participation and development of marketing materials

· Lead and continuously improve operational processes within the Project Advisor function

· Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively within the team and across departments

· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure strong cross-functional alignment

· Contribute actively to daily operations when required

· Ensure a safe, supportive, and sustainable work environment for your team

Qualifications and experience:

Education

· PhD or MSc in a relevant life science discipline such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Chemistry, or similar

Experience

· At least 5 years of experience within the life science industry in a customer-facing role

· Experience from different roles along the drug discovery value chain (e.g. project management, portfolio ownership, scientific consultancy)

· Experience working with CROs, CMOs, or CDMOs

· Proven experience in stakeholder management and complex, solution-based sales environments

· Prior leadership or global team management experience is strongly preferred
