EasyMining is in the process of commercializing technologies based on its patented innovations and processes that recover clean commercial products using waste as raw material.
We are now looking for a new team member that will join our R&D team and helps us support the start-up our phosphorous recovery plants.

Job brief
You will support our R&D team that works with developing and upscaling our processes. The position is normally on-site in our R&D Department in Uppsala and includes the design, setup and operation of laboratory experiments and pilot trials. Additionally, the role includes on-site support during commissioning of our first phosphorous recovery plants in Germany, Sweden and other European countries.
Our processes use common hydrometallurgy and chemical processing equipment such as leaching reactors, solid-liquid separation equipment, evaporators, mixer settlers, separation columns, pumps, etc. In addition, we maintain and operate a wide range of chemical analysis equipment.
Key responsibilities
• Design, set-up and execute chemical experiments
• Collaborate with our engineering and local operating teams at full scale plants
• Provide chemical and process specific knowledge to commissioning teams
• On-site troubleshooting of the chemical process during commissioning and handover
• Collect and analyze samples and interpretate the results
• Documentation of experiments and results
Travel requirements
The role will require periods of travel to project sites, mainly in Europe. A typical pattern is one month at site followed by one month home, but this may vary depending on project needs. Locations can include Germany, Sweden, or other European countries.

Educational & Experience requirements
• A Master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent working experience
• Experience with handling dangerous chemicals
• Experience with working in a chemical laboratory
Personal requirements
• You are an analytical thinker that likes to solve problems
• You have the ability to work structured in a fast paced environment
• You are a team player capable of interdepartmental collaboration
• You can handle confidential information responsibly
• You possess good documentation skill
• You have a willingness to travel for the commissioning of plants
It is an advantage if you have experience of:
• The operation of laboratory equipment
• Industrial chemical processes
• Process equipment for solid-liquid separation, crystallization, evaporation or solvent extraction
Language skills
