About the role

As CFO, you will have a key role in IST’s continued expansion, overseeing both operational and strategic financial matters across the group. This position is part of the Group Executive Management Team.

Your role will cover a wide range of responsibilities, from financial strategy to planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will manage investments such as acquisitions and procurement, while ensuring contract compliance, quality, information security, and profitability. You will be a key cultural ambassador within the organization.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Managing financing matters related to real estate and construction projects

• Overseeing currency exchange and related financial risks

• Ensuring accuracy and compliance in monthly reporting processes

• Conducting cash flow analysis and preparing financial statements

• Driving proactive initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency

You will also hold overarching responsibility for group-wide support functions—Finance, Standard & Governance and Real Estate, while providing direct leadership to both managers and team members.

The role is based at our Group Headquarters in Växjö, Sweden. Some travel within Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Germany is required.

About youYour academic background is at Master’s level in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. You bring solid experience as a CFO or in a similar senior financial leadership role, with deep expertise in group accounting and governance. You are an operational visionary, comfortable with details yet able to see the big picture and can seamlessly shift from strategic thinking to hands-on execution.

Experience in an international context, preferably within the IT sector, and exposure to IPO processes are highly desirable. English is our corporate language, so excellent proficiency in English and Swedish is required. Strong IT literacy is essential.

What we offer This is a full-time, permanent position based, preferably at our HQ in Växjö. At IST, we apply an office-first policy, meaning we primarily work from the office as we believe physical presence fosters collaboration, innovation, and a strong team spirit. At the same time, we understand the importance of flexibility—if you live farther away, working from the office three days a week with the remaining time remote may be possible.
