Melbu Hotell is a traditional hotel with 58 rooms, a restaurant and a outdoor restaurant and terrace. Our guests are mainly travelers who enjoy outdoor experiences such as hiking, biking, and exploring the Midnight Sun and Northern Lights. Melbu Hotell is looking to hire two chefs for the summer season. As a chef with us, you will work in a small, close-knit kitchen team, where both independence and cooperation are essential. You will be responsible for the preparation and production of food in our restaurant. Most shifts are evening services, but lunches and special events may also occur. During high season, we often serve a 3-course dinner for up to 100 guests, while other evenings are smaller and more intimate. Our food concept is based on: . Local and traditional ingredients . Our front-of-house staff We are a small team where everyone counts, and where good collaboration is key. Skills requirements: . Formal culinary education is preferred . Alternatively, several years of relevant kitchen experience . Comfortable working independently with responsibility for menu planning, preparation, and service Desired skills: . Creative and solution-oriented . Responsible, reliable, and structured . Enjoys working in a small kitchen with few people . Motivated by contributing to both guest satisfaction and a good working environment . Interest in nature, outdoor activities, and sustainable living .
