Your role and responsibilities

Are you our new Sales Specialist with a strong sales-hunt mentality at your core? Are you passionate about driving business growth and building long-term customer relationships across different customer segments?

At ABB, we are looking for a Sales Specialist for our drives and automation sales team to take the lead in developing and expanding our highly successful Motion business in Sweden. This role offers a unique opportunity to work broadly across the value chain, engaging with both OEM customers and end customers, and to build a rewarding career in a business driven by growth and innovation.

In this role, you will be an essential part of an experienced and collaborative sales team, delivering innovative drive and automation solutions to OEMs, system integrators, and end users in close cooperation with our factories in Europe and globally. As a Sales Specialist, you will create and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth through both new and existing customers. You will take full ownership of your targets, continuously analyze market trends, and proactively identify actions to ensure success. By understanding customer applications, business models, and challenges, you will work closely with internal experts to deliver tailored product and solution proposals.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Actively driving sales hunt activities to secure new business with both OEM customers, partners and end users.
  • Developing and executing a sales plan to grow the drive and automation business within your customer base.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, applications, and customer needs across different industries.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and end customers, acting as an ambassador for the full ABB Motion portfolio.
  • Managing complex sales cycles and coordinating stakeholders internally and externally to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Collaborating closely with the broader sales organization to share opportunities, align strategies, and ensure a seamless flow of information.


Qualifications for the role

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and structured, with strong planning and execution skills. Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented with experience in long sales cycles and complex technical sales, preferably involving OEM channel sales and end-customer engagement.
  • A university degree in engineering (e.g. electrical or mechanical) is meritorious, as well as relevant experience in technical sales, automation, project management, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of drives and automation solutions (PLCs) as well as electric motors with the ability to translate technical value into customer benefits.
  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset, with proven ability to build and manage customer relationships at multiple organizational levels.
  • Genuine interest in technology and learning, with a valid driver’s License (B) required for customer visits.
