The Opportunity
We are seeking an inspiring Manager Tendering & Sales Support for Industry to join our forward‑thinking team at Hitachi Energy.
In this key leadership role, you will guide a dedicated team responsible for tendering, contract strategy, proposal development, and customer collaboration.
In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you are expected to personally drive tendering activities, dedicating at least 40% of your time to preparing your own bids or pursuing opportunities together with the sales organization.
This ensures you stay close to the market, contribute directly to business results, and lead by example.
You will develop pre‑sales contract strategies, support the sales organization, and ensure high‑quality proposals that meet customer expectations and business objectives.
While no legal qualification is required, this role calls for strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent leadership abilities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and empower a high-performing Tendering & Sales Support team.
- Define goals, follow up on performance, and drive operational excellence.
- Develop contract and tendering strategies aligned with commercial and business goals.
- Prepare, structure, and review proposals, bids, and contract documentation in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and business management.
- Personally work on tenders and opportunity pursuits (minimum 40% of your time).
- Negotiate contractual terms and manage amendments related to scope changes.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, processes, and governance.
- Champion continuous improvement and strengthen customer engagement throughout the tendering process.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Solid experience in tendering, contract management, or sales support—ideally within the industrial or energy sector.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Strong communicator and confident negotiator.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across functions and with external customers.
- Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.
