As a leader in ocean and air freight, GEODIS Sweden is expanding our service portfolio to include road transport. We are now looking for a driven and skilled Road Manager to lead the launch and development of this exciting new business area!

About the position

As Road Manager, you will be a key player in launching and growing our road transport business in Sweden.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Investigating and planning the most suitable road transportation set up for GEODIS Sweden.

• Making sure GEODIS Sweden chose the most appropriate and cost-effective routes for shipments, considering cargo type, costs, transit times, and security.

• Reviewing pricing strategies and profit margin analyses to ensure our competitiveness.

• Negotiating optimal delivery rates and selecting the most reliable vendors.

• Liaising with local vendors and partners to ensure goods are transported in line with customer requirements.

• Manage financial business result, budget, turnover and KPIs.

• Leading sustainability initiatives in freight operations, such as optimizing load capacity and selecting eco-friendly carriers to reduce environmental impact.

• Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.

• Acting as a GEODIS ambassador.

Who are we looking for?

• Experience in road transport, intermodal, and multimodal logistics.

• Post-secondary education in logistics or economics.

• Strong business acumen and understanding of financials.

• Project management and administrative skills.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Excellent collaborative and communication skills, with fluency in Swedish and English.

• A well-established professional network in the logistics field is considered a plus.

You are skilled at building positive relationships and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
