Position Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining our backend systems, APIs, and data architecture, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security. You will work closely with front-end, and CTO to create a robust and scalable platform that delivers exceptional value to our users. Our platform uses micro-service architecture, backed by AWS (ECS + lambdas) and we have a mix between Golang (80%) and Python (20%).

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain server-side infrastructure and core APIs that power the Kaching platform
• Develop scalable and high-performance backend applications
• Integrate third-party APIs and data sources to enhance product functionality and cashback offerings
• Collaborate with front-end developer to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through best practices and testing strategies
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and server performance
• Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user data
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Back-End Developer in a fintech, e-commerce, or high-growth startup environment
• Strong knowledge of Golang
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, data modeling, and database management (SQL, NoSQL)
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Solid understanding of data security, encryption, and secure authentication
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude

Nice to Have:

• Experience with payment processing, financial integrations, or cashback systems
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, etc.) for occasional full-stack development
• String knowledge in any of the following buzzwords: Postgres, Golang, Python, Docker, AWS, React
