Your role
In the position as Obsolescence Coordinator, Business Unit Submarines, you will get a important supportive role within Obsolescence Management.
You will contribute to the work within the business unit establishing and driving Obsolescence Management to secure that our projects and products continue to operate safely and cost effectively. The role includes many interactions with stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, engineering, production, and service. You report to the section manager of Logistics Engineering - ILS. The role includes business travels between our offices in Lund and Karlskrona.
Your main tasks:
* Prepare, and with time lead, decision forums and coordinate mitigation actions such as last‑time buys, qualification of alternate parts, or redesign.
* Assist in parts classification and follow up on status for critical parts and components.
* Conduct Whare-used analysis and other collection of information related to parts and components.
* Registration and coordination of obsolescence cases.
* Create and present summary and status reports on an aggregated level.
* Contribute to continuous improvements related to Obsolescence Management.
* Contribute to change management, training and education of relevant stake holders and colleagues.
Your profile
We believe that you are structured, proactive, and comfortable moving between technical details and administrative routines. You can work independently but enjoy collaboration and can communicate effectively with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and project management teams to drive activities forward.
Required skills:
* Some years' relevant experience in Obsolescence Management, Purchasing, Engineering or Integrated Logistics Support from high-reliability industries with long life products.
* Excellent communication, coordination and administration skills.
* Experience with PLM/ERP systems and configuration/change control processes.
Desired skills:
* B.Sc. engineering degree or similar technical background.
* Project Management
* Integrated Logistics Support
* Risk assessment methodology
* Engineering processes, tools and methods
* Familiarity with standards such as IEC 62402/BS 62402 for Obsolescence Management.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
