We are looking for an engaged Specialist Engineer for a full-time, permanent daytime position. With us, you will mainly work daytime, but you will also take part in a rota with Saturday and public holiday shifts. These shifts are shared evenly between the biomedical laboratory scientists in the rota.
You will be part of a skilled and motivated team with a good working environment and close collaboration. We care about enjoying ourselves together - both at work and outside of work. We meet regularly for social activities, and every year we gather for a Christmas party.

.We cover travel and moving expenses up to NOK 20,000.
.We pay your rent for the first six months - up to NOK 60,000.

WHAT DOES THE JOB INVOLVE?
.Take part in the laboratory's routine work, including blood sampling
.Take part in the laboratory's quality and improvement work
.Operate and maintain medical technical equipment
.Perform tasks in accordance with current procedures and guidelines, and stay updated on any changes
.Carry out delegated tasks from the lead specialist engineer
.Keep professionally updated, participate in and contribute to courses, internal training and meetings
.Provide training and guidance to students and new employees
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE IMPORTANT FOR THIS ROLE?
.Biomedical Laboratory Scientist with Norwegian authorisation. Other relevant education and experience may also be considered.
.Competence and experience within microbiology (bacteriology or molecular biology) is an advantage, but not a requirement.
.Knowledge and experience with relevant medical-technical equipment and ICT systems is an advantage.
.Good language skills are absolutely essential for safe patient care. Non-Nordic citizens must as a minimum have passed the Bergen test or another recognised Norwegian test at B2 level. Documentation must be attached to the application.
.Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and a willingness to take responsibility.
